Original Pastel Painting of a Polar Bear |

"Uncertain Future"
No animal holds as significant a place in Canadian Inuit culture as the polar bear, "Nanuk". Polar bears have become the most popular symbol of the Arctic.
The Polar bear lives throughout the ice covered waters of the Arctic. One of the greatest concerns for the Arctic is the ecological implications of the disruption of the polar bear habitat as a result of global warming. Their population is thought to be stable for now, but the polar bear is at risk and their future is uncertain.
